Remote desktop and screen capture tip

Quick tip today for those working with Windows' Remote Desktop connections: have you ever needed to take screeshots from the remote computer, and use those images locally on your own PC? Of course, you could use Windows 7's Snipping Tool for taking those shots, but if you only need a quick shot from a single window, this becomes tedious quickly. Similarly, pressing Alt+PrintScreen (on the default connection settings) only takes a screenshot to the remote computer's clipboard.

How to solve this? The answer is to learn two new keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Alt+Minus and Ctrl+Alt+Plus. These keyboard shortcuts take a screenshot from the active window or the full remote screen, and transfer the image to your own computer's clipboard.

Works like a charm!
