Overview of the Windows 8 Metro templates

If you are developing Windows 8 Metro applications with the current Visual Studio "11" pre-release, you have without doubt noticed the ready-made application templates in the File/New/Project dialog box. At first, these templates might make you feel a bit overwhelmed with all those ready-made files, XAML styles (or HTML/JavaScript code for that matter), and so on.

Luckily, there's new material on MSDN that can help you get up to speed with the templates. Be sure to check it out, and also remember that there are plenty of sample applications around.
