SkyDrive application for Windows available

I've been using Microsoft's SkyDrive service on many occasions before, but one of the limiting factors in my use has been that the service only had a web interface. Of course, the good thing of this is that a web interface works everywhere you have access to the Internet, but then again, I find it easier to work with regular file system access on Windows (think Live Mesh).

Luckily, now there are applications available for SkyDrive, and the can be downloaded here. Applications are available for Windows, but also for Mac and iPad. Phone clients are available for Windows Phone (built-in) and Apple iPhone.

When you install the Windows client, it becomes a virtual folder within your system, and you can then manipulate its contents as regular files. Plus, you have a backup copy of the files locally.
