Office 2013 is now in RTM

Microsoft has recently completed the development of the new version of Office, the 2013 version, and it is now being prepared for distribution. License customers and developers will get it first, and later on also consumers.

For developers, Office 2013 is interesting because it changes the way add-ins (extension plugs in other terms) are developed – now these are called simply apps. With the release of the "Napa" development tools, developers can now use web technologies to develop the add-ins, instead of .NET based solutions as used for example in Office 2010.
