Intel's MinnowBoard announced, can run Windows and .NET

Intel has made available an open specification of an Intel Atom (x86) based development board, that can be programmed with conventional development tools. Called the Minnowboard, its specifications are open and it is aimed at the embedded market.

In this respect, the Minnowboard is similar to NetDuino, which runs the .NET Compact Framework and can be easily programmed with C#, .NET and Visual Studio. Although Minnowboard comes with a Linux-based operating system built in and is Atom based instead of ARM, I see no real reason why Windows couldn't run on that device. This means .NET support as well.
