What is the Web Essentials extension for Visual Studio?

If developing web applications with Visual Studio is something you are doing from day to day, there's a very nice extension for Visual Studio that will make you a more productive developer: Web Essentials.

The Web Essentials is about what the name says: essential web (think HTML, CSS and JavaScript) tools that Visual Studio currently lacks. All in all, many features in the extension have already made it to the real product, for instance CSS and JavaScript tools that were announced in Visual Studio 2012.

Currently, there's also available a version that supports the Visual Studio 2013 preview.

If you would only be allowed to install one extension to Visual Studio 2012 or 2013 (in addition to NuGet), Web Essentials might well be it.
