Coding Visual Studio with an IBM Model M keyboard?

Well, keyboards are still the main input method for many, many users – including developers. In tools like Visual Studio, a good keyboard is important because it's a productivity tool more than anything. Being able to type in correctly and getting the (sometimes complex) keyboard shortcuts right every time is essential.

I recently ran across a web site called ClickyKeyboards which refurbishes original, IBM Model M keyboards and sells them for around $100 to $150. The stock is limited, and many models have already been sold.

Out of curiosity, I thought I'd get myself one, and test it with Visual Studio. Perhaps the only missing key is the Windows key, that simply didn't exist back in the 1980s.

Do you have a story of the IBM Model M keyboard you'd like to share? Let me know!
