ASP.NET web application errors while developing with Visual Studio 2013 and IIS Express 8: "Cannot create/shadow copy ‘MyWebApp' when that file already exists"

Lately, I've seen several times the Yellow Screen of Death (YSOD) in one of the ASP.NET application I'm working on. This application is a mid-size application, and takes a little while to start locally in IIS Express.

When I start debugging the application in Visual Studio 2013, the browser will show this error text about a FileLoadException:

Server Error in '/' Application.
Cannot create/shadow copy 'MyWebApp' when that file already exists. 
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Luckily, although the error message looks serious, it is easy to fix. Just hit Refresh (F5) on your browser, and/or stop the debugging session in Visual Studio, and then try again.
