Microsoft Ignite event registration now open

Microsoft has previously had to large conferences: TechEd for IT professionals and Build for developers. However, Microsoft chose to re-brand the TechEd event, and this time, it's called Ignite. The next (and first!) Ignite event will be held in Chicago on May 4–8, 2015.

Microsoft themselves markets the event with these words:

Spark the future. The best and brightest minds will be all in one place to talk cloud infrastructure and management, productivity, big data and the internet of things, unified communications, mobility and more. So welcome, thinkers. And get ready for a glimpse at what's possible today and in the future.

Of course, the large themes are cloud and mobility. In addition to the traditional IT pro focus, Ignite also has plenty of information for developers. For instance,

I noticed today that the registration is now open for the event, so if and when you are interested in joining, be sure to register as soon as possible, as seats are limited. Early registration price is $1920, this lasts through December 11, so roughly a month from now. The web address to remember is simply ignite.microsoft.com.
