Finding your personal Technical ID from the Microsoft Partner Portal

The situation: your small organization has decided to become a Microsoft Partner, and you purchase a Microsoft Action Pack Subscription (MAPS). This includes an MSDN subscription, but when you log in to the MSDN Subscriber Downloads portal, you will be asked for your Technical ID.

Now the question becomes: how do I find my Technical ID? It turns out this isn't as easy as it could be, but luckily, with some perseverance, you can indeed find it. Here's a quick navigation map:

  1. First, log in to Microsoft Partner Portal at https://partners.microsoft.com/
  2. Navigate to your individual home page at https://partners.microsoft.com/PartnerProgram/IndividualHome.aspx
  3. On this page, click the “Privileges” tab, then “MSDN Subscriptions”.
  4. On this page, next to your name, you can find your Technical ID.
