So you've upgraded to Windows 10? This new operating system contains a handy new windows management feature called virtual desktops, and along with this, a feature called Task View.

Virtual desktops allow you to group windows together; for instance, you might have a virtual desktop for work, another for hobbies/personal, third for a project you're working on, and so on. Here's a list of keyboard shortcuts that are useful in this context:

  • Win+Tab: Open up the new Task View in Windows 10
  • Win+Ctrl+Left or Right: Switch between virtual desktops, if you have enabled them
  • Win+Ctrl+D: Create a new virtual desktop
  • Win+Ctrl+F4: Closed the current virtual desktop (the last desktop cannot be closed)

Happy desktoppin'!
