Microsoft purchases Xamarin

Great news! Microsoft has just announced that they have acquired Xamarin, the company creating a cross-platform mobile solution on top of Visual Studio. The purchase is announced here.

I've used Xamarin previously, but since the product will become part of Microsoft's offering, I'm pretty sure it will be even better integrated into Visual Studio. Also, selecting the correct license and purchasing it should become easier (and have better options, for, say, educational institutes).
