They’re here! .NET Core 1.0, ASP.NET Core 1.0 and Entity Framework Core 1.0!

Great news to all .NET developers and especially cross-platform enthusiasts! Microsoft has just made available the new "Core" versions of .NET, ASP.NET and Entity Framework (EF).

As is the new norm, all these are open-source too, and find their home at GitHub. There's plenty of new things to learn, so be sure to start today. I've already gotten my hands dirty with ASP.NET Core 1.0 (aka ASP.NET "5"), and it's looking pretty good already.

Extending to new horizons with .NET, that is!
