Skype for Business troubleshooting tip: listing connection information
Posted: (EET/GMT+2)
Skype for Business is a great communication tool, especially when your team is spread out geographically and/or the office is large and has multiple floors. When you have a sound Internet connection, Skype usually "just works", but there are times when you can have trouble connecting to the service.
In these situations, it's great to know where exactly (and with which credentials) Skype is trying to connect. To get such information, right-click the Skype for Business icon in the task tray area (next to the Windows clock on the taskbar), and select "Connection Information". This opens a dialog box with highly useful information.
This contains information such as:
- DG URL
- ABS URL
- Server SIP URI
- GAL Status
- EWS URL
Happy Skype'ing!
