Understanding DevOps, as implemented by Microsoft

DevOps is a hot word these days, and is related to both technological solutions (as in automation) and people (as in managing teams and individuals). I was today browsing reference documentation for VSTS, when I ran into this nice introduction to DevOps on Microsoft's web site.

This illustrated page contains in my opinion a good introduction to the topic, and thus, it's worth reading. The processes outlined in the document are universal, and can of course be implemented outside the Microsoft circles, however, I find that both TFS and VSTS complement this DevOps vision from Microsoft.
