Microsoft’s old and trusty CodePlex source-code sharing site is shutting down

It's an end of an era, so to speak: Microsoft's CodePlex platform is shutting down, as many open-source projects have already moved to the today's hip platform: GitHub.

The official news shortly: CodePlex will become read-only, and will stay in that format for the time being, until it is (probably) closed down completely.
