Reminder: New NuGet 4.0 recently went RTM

I was today talking to a fellow .NET developer, and our discussion turned to NuGet. He wasn't yet aware of the new NuGet version 4.0 that was announced in March, so I decided to blog about it. That is: great news for all NuGet fans, version 4.0 is recently out and has reached the stable RTM (Release to Manufacturing) milestone. New features in version 4.0 are mainly related to .NET Core applications and cross-platform use, but there are also numerous quality and bug fixes along the way.
