Getting Ubuntu to boot on Hyper-V virtualization

If you are having trouble getting an Ubuntu ISO image to boot on your Hyper-V virtual machine, especially on Generation 2 virtual machine, make sure you don't have secure boot enabled.

To fix errors like "no suitable boot device found", first disable "Secure Boot" under the virtual machine settings. The virtual machine must be powered off to be able to change this setting.

There's also a Microsoft blog post that details this topic.
