Windows 10 and Edge browser tip: enable Caret Browsing with the F7 key
Posted: (EET/GMT+2)
Here's a small but useful feature many people miss: you can move around web pages in Microsoft Edge using the keyboard, just like in a text editor, except that you cannot edit. It's called Caret Browsing.
Press the F7 key while a page is open, and Edge will ask if you want to turn on Caret Browsing. Choose Yes, and you'll see a blinking text cursor appear in the page. You can then move with the arrow keys, select text with Shift+arrows, and even copy with Ctrl+C, all without using the mouse.
Press F7 again to turn it off. The setting is per window, so you can toggle it anytime.
It's a simple accessibility feature that also helps when copying code, navigating long articles, or highlighting specific text precisely.
