How does AI change the SDLC model?

I was today reading a post from the Azure blog about how Microsoft is seeing the effects of AI in contrast to the SDLC model (Systems [sometimes Software] Development Lifecycle). The key premise of the post is that there's an "inevitable move towards fully agentic, end-to-end SDLCs."

This is easy to agree with, but the real human level problem is that if there's no longer any "slack" from the design phase to the next (the coding part takes just seconds these days), how can designers, developers and architects cope?
